Wood on the Wall

There's something primal, instinctive in our attraction to nature. We love natural materials. We love walking outdoors.

Today's city dwellers unfortunately rarely get the chance to disconnect from all artificial materials and objects, in a forest, a clearing, by the sea, or on a mountaintop. Perhaps that's exactly why we strive more and more to smuggle in a piece of nature into our homes. One of the most obvious and most versatile materials is wood.

I honestly admit that I'm not particularly fond of the image that still lives in my mind of the "old" paneled walls. Too regular, orderly, monochrome, "plastic."

But today, that picture has completely changed!

It's been rewritten by beautiful wood coverings made from natural materials — modern, irregular, yet creating a unified image.

One of my great favorites!

It gives a room character, makes it homey, unique, atmospheric. I love the grain of wood, its pattern. Such a surface is already like a painting filling an entire wall. A work of art. Unique, never repeating. Freshly worked wood has a scent that surrounds you, fills the space.

Let's use it boldly in offices, restaurants, and hotels. However, don't let its "irregularity" fool us — behind the apparent disorder, there is always expertise! Trust the design to a professional so that in the end, the many different colors, sizes, and shapes come together in a unified, harmonious image. To become a true element of interior design.

If we put it in a bathroom, pay attention to material selection and surface treatment. In such a bathroom, we can feel like we're in the spa section of a wellness hotel. Relaxation and refreshment are guaranteed, and we didn't even have to leave our home!

Natural wood needs care. In return, it lends warmth to a space for many long years, so the invested work pays off.

It reminded me of the forest cabin from Albert Wass's novel "The Witch of Funtinel." It had this kind of atmosphere. Natural, human, friendly, radiating warmth, inviting, welcoming, embracing, offering home. Read it! It's worth it.
