An Island of Calm in Dunakeszi

There is a painting in the living room. A field of flowers. Colourful, playful, full of life. Turquoise, green, red, yellow - as if someone had pressed a summer meadow onto canvas.

That is where we started. That is where everything came from.

Because Bea's home did not merely undergo a renovation - it was reborn. In the truest sense of the word. Two floors, 100 square metres, and a very clear vision of what a home should feel like when you truly belong in it.

The painting set the direction. Turquoise became the guiding thread - it follows you up the staircase, appears in the bedroom, echoes on the kitchen fronts. It does not impose itself, it simply is. Like a friend who is always somewhere nearby.

The entrance hall does not close off. It turns, opens up, merges with the living room, the dining area, the kitchen. This is no accident - Bea and her family previously lived in America, and they brought with them that need for spacious, airy, open-plan living. We created that feeling even on a smaller footprint. Because the feeling is what matters, not the square metres.

The kitchen. Bea's great dream. The L-shaped kitchen vanished - replaced by a free-standing kitchen island. This is the kind of decision that suddenly transforms a space. Not just functionally, but in character too. The island is not furniture. It is a protagonist.

Custom-made furniture everywhere. Kitchen, dining room, living room, entrance hall, bathrooms. This is what holds everything together - you cannot see it, but you can feel it. That consistency is what turns an apartment into a home.

For the bathrooms, Bea decided instantly. The mossy green large-format tiles - and that was it. No explanation needed, no convincing required. You fall in love, and you know. We complemented it with a restrained grey tile, because in one room, one superstar is truly enough. The rest simply frame.

THE TURQUOISE STAIRCASE.

My personal favourite in the entire home. With a modern black pendant, light pouring in through the skylight - and that confidence that only truly great decisions possess. Nothing else is needed alongside it. It is perfect on its own.

The light fixtures. Each one a work of art. Not much needs to be said about them - the images speak for themselves. The discs, the rings, the geometric forms... these are not light sources. They are characters.

The bedroom dressed in turquoise - the warmer shade. With an abundance of wooden surfaces, warm textiles, and the serenity of the Buddha image. This is the room where you step in at night and immediately let go. Cosy. Welcoming. Home.
