There is that moment when you understand that the task is not simply furnishing an apartment. But something more. Something bigger.
Two apartments. Merged into one. With garden access. In a green belt.
From the very first meeting I knew this would be a special project.
122 square metres. Space, air, freedom. At times like these, something truly opens up in one's creativity. There is no need to compromise - one can dream, and then actually make it happen.
The client had clear ideas. This is not a disadvantage - quite the opposite! Truly great collaboration is always born where the client knows what they want, and the designer knows how to give it form. Plus adds an idea or two that makes the client suddenly say: "This is what I wanted, I just didn't know it!"
The core concept was clear: the living room, dining area and kitchen should open onto the garden. Directly, barrier-free, so that the morning coffee comes with the green, the light, the changing of the seasons. This was the decision that established everything.
The other section of the apartment became home to the bedroom, the walk-in wardrobe, the bathroom. Intimate. Separate. A small island in the bustle of everyday life. And because the floor area allowed it - a guest room was created too, with its own wardrobe, its own shower. True luxury, true comfort.
THE ROYAL BLUE. One cannot pass by it without a word.
It appears in the living room, in the bathrooms. Like a red thread - only blue. It connects the spaces, creates unity, gives character. It was a bold decision. But the best decisions always are.
The black window frames, the custom-made black parquet skirting, the black lamps - this combination is powerful in itself. Determined, forthright. But the gold-dust-sprayed, organic-patterned decorative wallpaper in the corridor and on the media wall brings back the softness. The balance. Because it is always about that.
The laser-cut materials.
As room dividers and decorative lighting. By day they draw graphics into the space, by night they create a play of light. Black-and-white - and yet light. Because with the lighting too, this was precisely the goal: nothing ostentatious, nothing heavy. Just the light, existing for its own sake.
In choosing the furniture, something that is increasingly important also appeared: consciousness. Eco-conscious distributors, ecological footprint, sustainability.
Modern. Edgy. Tasteful. Conscious. I think this is the perfect recipe for a truly beautiful home.
Two apartments became one home - and the garden became our third room. We could not have dreamed of more.
